Family Pics

I know those of you that know me and don't know all of our family are wondering why the family pictures of not our family? Well, this is Steve and Amber--Steve is Brian's older brother. It is such a pain in the butt to get pictures done when you have tiny kids that won't hold still, so I offered to do their pictures for them. They're by no means professional, but they are good enough for freebies, right?

Steve and Amber have an amazing story. They have been married 20 years. Amber spent the first 18 years unable to carry a pregnancy to term. She adopted Porter 11 years ago and then Jakob just two and half years ago. She had planned to get a hysterectomy because her doctor told her it would probably be necessary due to what they thought was endimetriosis. When she went in for her preliminary pre-op appointment the doctor said that perhaps she would need to wait afterall since she was pregnant with twins. After 18 years of disappointment, she and Steve were blessed with not just one miracle baby, but two. It is also interesting that many years ago, right before her grandmother died, Amber's grandmother told her that she had a dream that she had a little boy and a little girl waiting for her. I am a firm believer in dreams, adoption and miracles. Her story is inspiring to all of us. God never forgets us, but sometimes we have to take the scenic route to get to our destination because there are so many other blessings along the way.
