Who's Your Daddy

Brian has a favorite T-shirt that he wears which reads, "Who's Your Daddy?" I guess that's really funny when you have seven kids that call you daddy constantly. These seven kids adore their father. They've loved every minute of his break. We knew it was going to be hard on them when Brian left, so Brian devised a plan to make time go a little faster. He wrote ten letters, one for each week of the deployment we have left, for the kids to open every Sunday. In the letters Brian wrote them a message on a certain topic, gave them goals to work on, revealed a location of a hidden treat, and suggested a family activity for that topic. For example, he gave his feelings on how serving others has helped him through his deployment. He challenged them for a week to do something nice every day for someone and the weekend project is to take cookies to all the neighbors. There are several topics such as prayer, developing talents, etc. We also too several pictures of each of the kids with their daddy, just like they did with me. That way they can remember how much their dad loves each of them. Brian is an amazing father not just spiritually and emotionally, but in every aspect. He is a man who lives like he teaches his children to live and he is willing to sacrifice what he needs to to provide well. But, best of all he is so much fun!!!

I'm crying over here. Seriously. So beautiful. (Okay, except I'm not loving Brian's shirt. But besides that, amazing.) I think Gelly's might be my favorite. Only a real man can be a Dad like that--and handle a wife like you. ;)
